14 Problems Only People From Minneapolis Will Understand
11. The Fearless University Of Minnesota Pedestrians
Every U of M student is one heck of a proud pedestrian. They have every right of way and privilege imaginable, regardless of the situation. A U of M student crossing against a red hand, no, against a full-on red light and with traffic oncoming, feels zero shame. Feels zero fear. Instead, a kind of reverse psychology around the U kicks in. There, the people in cars fear the pedestrians. For those naïve enough to pass through University land by car, it is a place of great stress. One final thing worth mentioning: sometimes these pedestrians are turkeys. Roving gangs of turkeys stalk the campus.
