It used to be youd just get a random digital watch, something that, you know, starts and stops, and off youd pop for a quick 10k. Now though you must research. You must read reviews. You must test. The choice of watches is unbelievable and you cant be seen without one. If youve ever been on a start line of a race youll know you almost cant here the starting klaxon for the collective beep of 20,000 watches all being started at the same time. When you go into a shop to ask the assistant, it gets even worse, particularly if theyre a runner too. Well, this one has a heart rate monitor while this one can also be used for cycling, swimming and deep water fishing. This one estimates your VO2 max whereas this one sets a time trial mode against yourself. This one can be linked to Strava but this one cant be because it links to something better called Vastra. This one goes on your wrist, this one goes on your upper arm and this one goes on your forehead. This one is waterproof to 50metres for those deep water runs that extreme runners do whereas this one will slap you over the face if youre running too slow. Oh, and this one has a 24 hour battery life, this one a 12 hour and this one doesnt use batteries it uses lithium crystals dried on the stomach of a Grecian polar bear. Thanks mate.
