One of the most classic examples of this is the nonsense '2 for £2, or 79p each' kind of deal. Why on earth would it be two of these British Pounds for two, yet less than one pound for one? Is that not like something you'd expect to experience if you were on drugs? Prices "lower", magically being higher than they were before, and it's left up to those poor staff members to explain exactly what the hell is going on, whilst the management seemingly listen to The Beatles on repeat and casually sip magic mushrooms through a straw, a Tesco Value straw. It's like some kind of sick joke, and not what anyone needs to be explaining at 9am.
