14 Problems Only London Cyclists Will Understand

7. Taxi Drivers Don't Believe In Blind Spots

Cycling renders you pretty exposed but, provided you remember your lights, also pretty visible. The main danger to cyclists from cars is from drivers' blind spots (literal blind spots, not a blind spot like how the otherwise nice guy at work believes that Diego Costa is probably a good bloke "underneath it all"). That's why one of the first things you're taught when learning to drive (or watching Clueless) is to check your blind spot before changing lanes. Unless, apparently, you drive a taxi in which case blind spots are for chumps and cyclists ride in them at our own risk.

Brydie is an Australian writer and performer living in London and she complains exactly the same amount about the weather as every other Australian living in London. Yes, that is her natural lip colour, no, she will not be taking any further questions at this time.
