Drake has somehow managed to sweep his way to being one of the most bizarre and slightly annoying social media phenomenons in recent times. Seemingly half the population began to post a series of quotes taken from Drake's songs and putting them on top of over-filtered Instagram pictures, before throwing them in front of your helpless eyes on Facebook. It was almost as if the man was elected to bard status for those who don't like to read, all in a matter of weeks. But that aside, he has a reputation as being a fairly cool and decent guy, so there's something, regardless of anyone's distaste for his music. But that raises the question of why he changed his name in the first place. Surely a man who offers such sagely advice to all around him, whilst having very little negativity being spread about him would have no need for a change of name. Well, regardless of the fact that Drake is a more radio friendly rapper than some, he still needed a cool name to fit the genre around him, particularly because his actual name is Aubrey. I think I can honestly say that I have never met, no matter how briefly, a single soul who goes by the name of Aubrey, and I'd even be so confident to say that he may well be the highest profile person to have such a name since the 19th century ticked by.
