15 WTF Corporate Tweets That Definitely Got Someone Fired

3. MSNBC Implies All Republicans Are Racist

Here's a Twitter blunder that's not the result of a prank, a mistake, or not researching a hashtag, but rather an employee legitimately thinking the comment is a good idea.

In 2014, Cheerios came out with a commercial that featured a biracial family, and though there were plenty of racist trolls filling comments sections, the average, sane person obviously had no issue with the ad. When linking to a story on the commercial, though, the official MSNBC account wrote, "Maybe the rightwing will hate it, but everyone else will go awww."

You read that right: this official news account is implying that the majority of people who lean right also hate black people. Seriously? Considering how often the network is accused of bias against Republicans, this certainly doesn't help their case. MSNBC deleted the tweet and fired the employee, and Republican National Committee chairman Reince Priebus immediately called for a boycott of the network. After incidents like these, it's hard to blame him.
