Buzzfeed is a perfect example of a platform that breaks content down to a science. Everything they churn out abides by a single formula that promises them a certain amount of page views (and advertising revenue). As a result, their posts are found on our Twitter and Facebook feeds daily. I can't go a day without seeing a Buzzfeed headline being shared by one of my friends, and it's often a headline I've already seen a dozen times. What sets it apart is that Buzzfeed itself is the niche, not its content. On the site, you'll find everything from politics to adorable kittens, but you still come back for more. The reason is because Buzzfeed itself is the brand its selling, and they've cultivated their massive audience by delivering this niche consistently. Why It's Going To Rule... Buzzfeed's growth shows no slowing down, especially as it continues to dominate mobile click-throughs. This past month alone, the site managed to bring in over 110 million visitors; most of them were unique, and about half of them were mobile. So as we continue to march along 2014, expect to see even more Buzzfeed gifs slowing down your phone's load times.
