It's pretty obvious that without a covering of hair, a head is going to get slightly colder than usual. It is, however, a complete shock when you discover just exactly how much colder a bald head can become. Without that extra insulation when the temperatures drops, you'll start to feel like you've had your brain in a freezer. Plus, just to make matters worse, you'll also find a big problem when it gets incredibly sunny, namely a horribly burnt scalp. So not only does a hairless head get very cold in winter, but it can suffer terrible sunburn in the summer. The only solution to these problems? Wear a hat. Of course people will then accuse of only wearing one to hide your baldness rather than protect your head. If only they knew the pain.
