11. The Constant Construction

One of the great things about Dubai is without a doubt the architecture - the city is one of the most impressive-looking futuristic cities in the world, boasting not only the world's tallest skyscraper but literally hundreds more, all of which look far more impressive than anything seen in most metropolises. With Dubai constantly expanding, however, it's inevitable that you'll come across skyscrapers still under construction. In fact, if you were to drive around the coastal strip for a couple of hours and count those unfinished you'd probably run out of fingers shortly after your journey begins. The price you pay for living in a city which is constantly expanding is that much of the time it feels like you're living on a building site, one which often feels as if it'll never actually be finished.
