15 Signs You're In An Abusive Relationship With Your Cat

3. Cleaning Themselves After You Stroke Them

You run upstairs to apologise to Catrick Stewart (tripping in apologetic excitement) and there he sits on your bed, cleaning himself. Is there anything more beautiful than watching your cat, all majesty and awe, clean themselves from top to paw (apart from that bit underneath their chin, that isn€™t a glamorous movement at all)? You walk into the bedroom and he licks his side in obsessive perfection. You smile, and he stops and looks at you. This is a perfect, clean moment between cat and human so you give a quick stroke to the newly washed area: a little warm touch to show the love is still there. Catrick stares at you for a moment before going back to the just-washed area and cleans himself again: you know, to get rid of the stench of YOU.
