15 Surprising Hidden Meanings Behind Rude Words

8. *sshole

What it means: The worst kind of person. Someone who parks their car over two spaces because they think they're god's gift to the world. When to use it: Whenever you're waiting for a space in the car park and you see the guy walking towards his car that he's taken up two spaces with, you stare him out. He'll probably start a fight with you because you're waiting for him, watching him walk and he knows he's in the wrong. "hey, *sshole, it's not my fault that you're an asshole. But it will be my fault when I tear you a new one. Kindly shift your POS car." Where is came from: It was first coined together in the 1500s to refer to the anatomy of a person and an animal - the fact that both seem to be used to mean entirely different things is an accident of language. Bearing in mind it's not the most pleasant part of someone's body, it's easy to see why mankind would automatically chose the rear end to insult someone.
