15 Thing Only Pizza Shop Employees Will Understand

9. Coupons Have Expiration Dates

"Oh, you have a coupon for buy one get one free pizzas? That's great, but it expired in 1998, so we can't honor it." Many pizza parlors will run specials to drum up business like putting coupons on their pizza boxes and offering loyal customers discounts, but these offers only last for a limited time, so don't be surprised when you're not given the deal you want because your offer expired last winter. Coupons have expiration dates for a reason. If everyone just let people amass coupons and use them when they pleased, the economy would be very different.

8. We Will Not Meet You In A Parking Lot

If you call in a delivery order, you had better make sure that you are doing it from your home or business, because we will not deliver to strange places or anywhere that puts a driver in danger. There will be requests to deliver to parking lots, boats in the middle of a lake and an illegal party in a local park. While offering a big tip might incentivize some drivers, most of us would rather not go to a place where nobody can hear you scream.

7. Know What You Want When You Call

Anyone who has worked at a pizza parlor has had this call. You answer the phone to take an order, only to have the person on the other end of the line asking what everyone wants while you twiddle your thumbs. It's pretty annoying. It's a simple concept, people. Just ask what everyone wants before you call so the person answering the phone doesn't have to make others wait because your girlfriend can't decide between mushrooms or green olives.
