15 Thing Only Pizza Shop Employees Will Understand

12. Cooking And Delivery Times Are Estimates

Speaking of time, when we tell you that your order will be ready to pick up or be delivered in 30 minutes, it's an estimate. If you walk in the door at minute 30 and your food still has a few minutes left to cook, do not make a federal case out of it. Sometimes something happens that adds a few minutes, or sometimes it just ends up that someone made a mistake on your food and had to start over. Either way, have patience.

11. If It Isn't On The Menu, We Won't Make It

The bread and butter of any pizzeria is bread, sauce and cheese, but there are usually a variety of other items on the menu to make a full meal. Hot wings, burgers and a variety of side dishes are on almost any good pizzeria's menu these days. You have a variety of choices, which means you shouldn't ask for us to make you something that is not on the menu. Not only do we not know how to price something we don't sell, but we have a specific menu for a reason. And to those who like their pizza sauce mixed with barbecue sauce, order from a place that actually does that and don't ask a restaurant that doesn't advertise it to make it.

10. We Do Not Honor Competitor Offers

We know that when you choose a pizzeria, you probably had about a dozen choices to choose from. There are the big chains like Pizza Hut, the gourmet restaurants like Lou Malnati's and the little mom and pop shops. They all use ingredients with varying degrees of quality, which means they all price things differently and also have different specials. Just because Little Caesars has five dollar pizzas doesn't mean you will get that price from Lou Malnati's. You get what you pay for.
