15 Things Only Tyneside Cinema Fans Will Understand
4. The Food (And Drink) In The Tyneside Bar Cafe
A drink or a bite to eat before seeing a film aren't the only reasons to visit the Bar Cafe (more on that later), but they are perfectly valid ones. The menu offers an extensive range of options, from breakfast to lighter lunch options, and full on mains and desserts, as well as a weekend brunch menu and an ever-changing list of daily specials. Theres also a wide range of draught and bottled beers, spirits, wines, teas and soft drinks. Popular food options include the burger - called a royale with cheese, obviously (and you can have either ketchup or mayonnaise to go with the fries...) and their rather unique, has-to-be-tried popcorn pannacotta, while they now offer afternoon tea as well.
NCTJ-qualified journalist. Most definitely not a racing driver. Drink too much tea; eat too much peanut butter; watch too much TV. Sadly only the latter paying off so far.
A mix of wise-old man in a young man's body with a child-like wonder about him and a great otherworldly sensibility.
