MTV parties were all the range when MTV was actually a music channel. You weren't cool or popular if your parents couldn't afford to have MTV on your package deal and they were the highlight of your party calendar. Everyone would come over for a mini disco with some chips and dips, and it was all everyone could talk about when you went back to school. Unfortunately, MTV parties don't exist anymore because spending a day binge watching Catfish with your dog isn't really a party.
