16 Most Evil Psychopaths In Literature

2. Hannibal Lecter - Silence Of The Lambs By Thomas Harris

Thomas Harris became fascinated by the minds of serial killers, this then lead to him creating one of the most recognised psychopaths known to man. Hannibal has become the embodiment of fear and evil with his thirst for human flesh, he is a cannibal who will devour his victims, at first mentally and then hauntingly enough €“ physically. Once a respected psychiatrist, Hannibal is skilled but also deeply disturbed by his own childhood. He lead a pleasant life with his younger sister Mischa, during the war Nazi€™s fleeing the Russian advance into Germany chose to keep hiding in the home belonging to his parents. When food had run scarce during a harsh winter they convinced his young sister they were going to play a game but instead lead her to death and cannibalised her body. When Hannibal found the remains of his own sister this was the turning point and the beginning of his obsession with cannibalism as a revenge tool. Victims included a musical student who did not perform one of his favourite pieces well enough; he serves up their bodies at his own dinner parties. He views himself as God-like; able to out smart most psychiatric tests. This convoluted psychopath is one that still sends chills down peoples spines even to date.
