We know. We know you didn€™t just find it like that and we know that you clicked on that internet link for a free bit of software that trashed your hard drive. We know this because computers, especially Windows computers, contain copious amounts of logs. We can tell who was logged in when from where and what they did when they were there. So there€™s no point in fibbing, but as mentioned previously people always do. That feeling of dread, the sagging shoulders, the exasperated sigh as you look through appwiz.cpl (if you know that one, you€™re a techie) finding exe after exe of registry cleaners, file managers, download managers, toolbars aplenty, maybe even a smiley app here and there. And they told you they had no idea why the computer was running so slowly. Of course a quick look through eventvwr and the cookies you left stored because you weren€™t in Private mode leaves us in no doubt as why it takes you 15 minutes to log on.
