4. Updating Your Profile Picture, Then Updating It Again Tomorrow
The term profile picture really didn't exist in our lexicon before Facebook, and now it's a common everyday term. It is the picture that sticks with you on everything you post, and it is something that should be a good representation of you. However, it is supposed to be YOUR profile picture, yet people put their pets or kids for it; which makes no sense at all. Then you have those people that have to change their profile picture a few times a day just so they can get the "likes" and attention. Just like with relationships, we all have that friend that has to constantly change their profile picture.
3. Being Excited About Notifications
In today's social media driven society, we live in a world of instant gratification. Nothing screams instant gratification more than the Facebook Notification. The term notification is more mainstream now in the Facebook world than it ever was before. Whether it is a game request for lives you have been waiting for (and you're not annoyed by those), or it is a page that you like and have set it up to notify you every time they post, or if it is just simply getting a response to something you posted, people are excited to get Facebook notifications. But then the trend has another, darker side...
