20 Famous Quotes That Were Never Actually Spoken

7. "The White Heat Of Technology" - Harold Wilson

Former British Prime Minister Wilson is most famous for his speech outlining the future of the nation at the Labour Party Conference in October 1963, which supposedly featured "the white heat of technology" quote.

It didn't. What Wilson actually said was: "The Britain that is going to be forged in the white heat of this revolution will be no place for restrictive practices or for outdated methods on either side of industry." Pretty boring, isn't it?
