In one of the most-notorious cases of corporate espionage in history, three men were arrested by the FBI in July 2006 - after allegedly attempting to sell Coca-Cola Company secrets to their bitter rivals PepsiCo. Pepsi themselves reported the incident to the FBI, claiming they had received a letter from a man named "Dirk". This "Dirk" was offering "very detailed and confidential information" about Coca-Cola's products and company secrets - in exchange for $1million. They may be bitter rivals, but the duopoly that Pepsi and Coca-Cola hold over the fizzy-drinks market seems to have led to this charitable act - well that, or possibly the fact Pepsi themselves could have faced a crippling fine for illegally receiving a rival's secrets if they'd been caught...
