5. The Launch Of Coca-Cola's "Dasani" Water In The UK Was A Disaster... Due To The Fact It Was Marketed As "Bottled Spunk" By The Company

It is so easily done, but a company the size of Coca-Cola should not be guilty of such marketing gaffes as the one they managed to achieve in 2004 with the launch of its bottled "Dasani" water. When the company tried to launch Dasani in the UK, they used a similar advertising phrase as the one they had previously used in the US - "Can't live without spunk". Now although in America this merely means vigour, energy or guts - in Britain this has connotations of semen. Needless to say, Brits did not rush out to buy a bottle that may contain such a product...
