20 Mind-Blowing Facts About JFK

12. At Least Four Assassination Attempts Were Made On Kennedy's Life Even Before He Was Shot In Dallas

Everyone knows JFK was shot in Dallas in November 1963, but it is not widely publicised that at least four other attempts on his life were made before his eventual assassination. The first-such attempt came while he was President-Elect. A retired postal worker loaded his car with dynamite and followed Kennedy all the way from Massachusetts to Palm Beach, Florida, before being apprehended. Another two attempts on his life - in Chicago and in Tampa Bay - were also made, and, according to Thurston Clarke, JFK is even believed to have told a Secret Service agent after the first incident: "Brother, they could have gotten me in Palm Beach. There is no way to keep anyone from killing me." Unfortunately, he had correctly predicted his own assassination.
