Ever since it was founded, Burger King has been involved in numerous legal battles, both as plaintiff and defendant, but one of the strangest and most violent occurred in June 2013. According to a lawsuit filed by an unnamed man in Bloomfield, New Mexico, a complaint made by him about an order of cold onion rings resulted in the manger lunging at him with a switchblade in one hand and a taser in the other. The manager was arrested and later pleaded guilty to a charge of aggravated battery. The lawsuit also alleges problems at other New Mexico Burger Kings operated by the same group, ranging from contaminated food being served to cops to workers putting dish sanitizer on fries.
