As if dealing with stationary designed with only right handed people in mind isn't bad enough, lefties are also faced with the inevitable prospect of smudging whatever they write all over the page, thus ruining all their hard work. Of course, this smudge doesn't just end up on the page making their writing nearly illegible - it also covers the side of their hand leaving a stain of ink that can be a real pain to wash off. At least some companies have kindly dedicated time inventing a guard to limit this problem - although few lefties have ever actually seen anyone wearing a Smudge Guard.
