Living in the heart of England might make it trickier for the locals to escape for a day at the beach but it does have its advantages, one of which is possessing the best qualities of both our northern and southern neighbours. A problem arises for the rest of the country when trying to decide which category Derby falls into in England's age-old north and south split. Northerners think you're southerners while southerners think you're northerners.
