20 Problems Only People From South Wales Will Understand

3. Cardiff Bus - Exact Fare Only

Talking of transport, there is one issue the poor people of Cardiff and the surrounding areas face on a daily basis; exact fares on Cardiff buses. It's one of the few places in the UK where bus drivers don't give change and where the majority don't even have to acknowledge you with anything more than a grunt. Put your money in the slot, state what ticket you want and many drivers will produce your ticket without even looking in your direction.

And if you haven't got any change, you're pretty much stuffed. Want a £1.80 single and only have a £2.00 coin? You can forget ever getting that 20p back. And if you accidentally get on the bus with only £10.00 as unsuspecting visitors to the city might do, the only way of getting change is taking your receipt to the Cardiff bus shop to reclaim it back. But with the redevelopment of the Cardiff bus station for the next three years, good luck finding it!
