5. Your Married Friends Start Getting Divorces

If you've managed to make it into your thirties without getting married there's a very good chance you know plenty of people who have tied the knot. With a bit of luck they've stuck to their marriage vows and are still on their way to being together "til death us do part." Once you're in your thirties, however, the chances of knowing a couple around your age going through a divorce starts to rapidly increase - while it's not necessarily inevitable, more than a few thirtysomethings are familiar with that "we're getting a divorce" conversation. It's not dissimilar from the "we're splitting up" conversations you had when you were younger except this time it involves far more boring details about property and who gets to keep what.
