Marcus Mosiah Garvey Jr was a Jamaican political leader who founded the Universal Negro Improvement Association and African Communities League. He was a writer, orator and pioneer for equal rights as well as being an advocate for Black Nationalism. He was determined to see all minority groups to be treated as equals. Unfortunately, Garvey's death was premature. He suffered two strokes after reading his own obituary in the newspaper. It was a negative and false obituary and he died at the age of 52 because of it.
