20 Things All Cardiff University Students Will Understand
14. Showing Up For An Exam And Meeting New Coursemates
Seriously, who are all these people? Whether you pride yourself on the large group of friends you have on your course, or prefer to keep to yourself in lectures, it's almost certain that you will arrive to at least one exam a term and not recognise a single person you see. This will inevitably lead to panic as you convince yourself that you've shown up to the wrong venue. You will desperately spend the next thirty seconds simultaneously trying to regulate your heartbeat, check your exam timetable on your phone, and look for an invigilator. Just when you're about to give up and leave, you spot the one person you know, who will be just as relieved to see you as you are to see them. This may actually have been an important bonding moment between you which you will treasure for years to come.
With a (nearly) useless degree in English literature and a personal trainer qualification he's never used, Freddie spends his times writing things that he hopes will somehow pay the rent. He's also a former professional singer, and plays the saxophone and ukulele. He's not really used to talking about himself in the third person, and would like to stop now, thanks.
