20 Things That Are Gone But Not Forgotten From Walt Disney World
19. Maelstrom
In 2014 many Walt Disney World fans mourned the passing of the water adventure ride Maelstrom.
Located in the Norway Pavilion at Epcot, Maelstrom was a dark boat ride adventure into Norwegian folklore. Even though the attraction never due huge crowds, it was a cult favourite amongst regulars to Epcot.
Maelstrom was eventually shut to make way for Frozen Ever After, a ride which undoubtedly is a million times more popular.
RIP Maelstrom.
18. Duffy The Disney Bear Meet And Greet
Despite Duffy the Disney Bear being alive and well in other Disney parks, he's only available in plush form at Walt Disney World.
Guests used to be able to meet the travelling bear at the entrance to World Showcase in Epcot, but for the past few years he has been replaced. Instead first Daisy, then Pluto have taken up residence in Duffy's old stomping ground.
Duffy hasn't disappeared completely, you can still purchase plush bears and cute outfits for him around the parks. He also still has his own bed time story show on the tv at Walt Disney World hotels.
