20 Tragically Unexpected Truths You Learn In Your Twenties

9. Hangovers Hurt Severely

You certainly can't drink like you used to when you hit the twenties. Hangovers are very real and very serious things, making anything apart from complaining and watching films almost impossible. You'll probably wake up with 'the pains' and claim you're never going overboard again. You do. Gone are the days of five nights out a week and in is a new kind of weekend; the Friday night out, Saturday and Sunday spent recovering kind of weekend. And don't even consider going out if you have to work the next day. The unbearable agony of a day at work after one too many is never, ever worth it. Luckily, your twenties teach you this pretty damn quickly. The twenties also teach you that you were a horrendously obnoxious drunk in your teens, and that there is indeed a time and place for moderation.
