20 Tragically Unexpected Truths You Learn In Your Twenties

8. Clubbing Isn't Actually Fun

Admittedly, there are still very rare occasions that cry out for a trip to a full-blown super-club, but actually being able to sit and converse is far more appealing. Lots of bars are lively, play decent music and have a good atmosphere, making them perfect for a group of friends to drink, dance and laugh together. Not so good are the vomit-smelling clubs with aggressive bouncers outside, aggressive residents inside and the world's worst music selectors - we won't do them the honour of labelling them as DJs. Often, these clubs have the music too loud, are overcrowded and thus have nowhere to sit (or buy a bloody drink). Entry costs are usually extortionate and you'll probably feel like one of the oldest people in there.
