19. Teenagers Are Actually Awful

We've all been teenagers, but at the time surely we can't have been that annoying? Whether it's the awful fashion trends, slang we can't understand, or sudden discovery of (and insistence upon promoting) any kind of perceived counter-culture, teenagers can be severely annoying. Just go to any popular city-central club on a Friday night and you'll see the usual plethora of teen-aged characters, each one under the impression that they're the centre of the Friday night universe. There will be the dramatic couple consisting of boy in a rage, tear-eyed girl and overly protective best friend of said girlfriend. There will be the guy that keeps getting his abs out or insisting upon semi-nudity. There will be the inevitable pukers. And sometimes, there might even be the up-for-a-scrappers. Most of us in our twenties begin to appreciate bars over clubs, conversation over 'music' and seating over dancing. That's not to say, however, that if we're going through a particularly rough time we won't revert back to our teenage ways on rare occasions.
