23. Catching Fire Smashes Box Offices

Whether it was her slipping over at awards ceremonies, having a laugh with Jack Nicholson or crossing a barrier to meet a disabled fan on the red carpet, Jennifer Lawrence has been unavoidable in 2013. Which is just well, given how lovely she is. But Catching Fire went on to be one of the biggest films of the year, catapulting Sam Claflin to wider fame, and receiving rave reviews all round. J-Law's now Hollywood royalty and begins 2014 in American Hustle. And then there's the next Hunger Games film to look forward to! The biggest film of 2013 was Iron Man 3 though, with Despicable Me 2 and Monsters University not too far behind. Now You See Me, Pacific Rim and Man of Steel have also been huge. But what was your favourite movie this year?
22. Bayern Munich Beat Dortmund At Wembley
We were expecting an El Classico battle for the UEFA Champions League Final, but instead, German giants Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich went head to head at Wembley for the biggest prize in European football. This goal, scored by Arjen Robben, clinched the trophy for Bayern, and was proof that Germany are a force to reckon with in world football; Supercup win against Chelsea on penalties followed, then a first Club World Cup win in Morocco, capping off an incredible win for Pep Guardiola's side, and certainly making Germany one of the sides to watch at Brazil 2014; and feel free to take advantage of the pun "Muller corner" to annoy your friends with! In other sport, Usain Bolt wowed the Olympic Stadium once again in the Anniversary Games, along with Mo Farah set a personal best in the 3,000m in front of home fans.
