23 Things Only A Chocolate Shop Employee Will Understand

8. Always Running Out Of Medium Bags

Matilda - Bruce Bogtrotter
BBC

Because apparently everyone wants a medium-sized bag, regardless of the fact that the bar of chocolate they've just bought could easily fit into their pocket.

Inevitably, you will run out of the medium bags at least once every two weeks, or every other day in the lead up to Christmas, no matter how many you order. And when you do run out, prepare for the unadulterated rage of customers when you're forced to offer them either a small or a large bag.

Of course, running out of medium bags is entirely your fault, so don't be surprised when they ask you to gift wrap the boxes for free in exchange for your selfish and thoughtless behaviour in not saving a bag specifically for them.

With a (nearly) useless degree in English literature and a personal trainer qualification he's never used, Freddie spends his times writing things that he hopes will somehow pay the rent. He's also a former professional singer, and plays the saxophone and ukulele. He's not really used to talking about himself in the third person, and would like to stop now, thanks.
