21. You Miss The Old "Youthy"

These days, Newton Aycliffe has a youth centre again but, for most people, nothing will ever beat the old one that was knocked down several years ago. For decades, it kept kids off the streets. They could go there to play pool, enjoy the famous discos (where they would dance to such classics as "Baby D: Let Me Be Your Fantasy"), use the tuck shops (where they could buy those sickly ten pence drinks and bite a hole in the bottom to drink them from), play on the arcades and do all kinds of different activities.
