20. Mike's Fish Bar Or Betty's?
The classic fish and chip dilemma in Newton Ayclife was always having to decide between Mike's Fish Bar and Betty's. Betty's no longer exists and there are now other choices like Reds, but Mike versus Betty will always be the classic chippy contest. The food problem (seriously, for such a modest-sized town, you're spoilt for choice!) also extends to having to choose between things like one of John's kebabs and a Pizza Cottage pizza, Simpasture or Thames Butchers, the Chinese at Cobblers or the Turbinia, an Indian from Bengal Lounge or Elachi's and various other food-based dilemmas.
