3. The Hobbit: The Battle Of The Five Armies
Why Get Excited? The final chapter in Peter Jacksons The Hobbit trilogy is so close you can almost feel the heat of dragon fire. Proportionality, the films storyline follows the last third of the book as Bilbo, Thorin Oakenshield and his band of squabbling dwarves loot a dragons lair, witness said dragon lay siege to Lake Town and then, take up arms in a rather large battle. You get a feeling this is The Hobbit movie that Jackson and co have being dying to show us; they've bolstered backstories by plundering appendices and in the films titular dust up (arguably the best chapter Tolkien ever wrote) we have a scene that will make The Return Of The Kings Battle Of Pellenor Fields look like handbags at dawn in comparison. Once all of these events have unfolded, its highly expected that the film will form a segue to the Fellowship Of The Ring, neatly closing a trilogy that will undoubtedly grow in appreciation with time.
