25 Awesome Things To (Still) Look Forward To In 2014
2. Far Cry 4
Why Get Excited? Critically acclaimed for its immersive, open world gameplay and sun-kissed setting, Far Cry 3 still remains massively playable the recent Blood Dragon DLC jolted interest in the game so with this fourth entry in the franchise it looks like Ubisoft will be aiming for the same level of success. This time around the locale is Nepal as players take control of a young native lad, Ajay Ghale, as he gets caught up in a civil war, caused by flamboyant poster boy for the game, Pagan Min. Like its predecessor, events will see the protagonist thrown into a situation where he will have to scramble around like a gun-toting madman, but in this case the battleground is up high in the Himalayas. The developing bods over at Ubisoft claim to altered Far Cry 4s structure so that open world distractions and the games main storyline dont restrict players and they are free to play the game the way they want. This was always the appeal of Far Cry, being able to forge your own path and complete missions in a variety of different ways with all the weapons and moves at your disposal, while also having the option to take a break and go hunting through caves or even doing a spot of poaching. Forget about this being the surprise gaming hit of 2014, this has all the potential to finally take that game of the year crown that the series deserves. If our hype still doesnt sway you, will it help to mention that you can take down enemies from the back of an elephant? Whens It Out? Far Cry's newest uprising will be released in November and can be played on both Xbox and PlayStation consoles as well as PC. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aUiZ0xnkd1c
