25 Awesome Things To (Still) Look Forward To In 2014

1. Interstellar

Why Get Excited? If this feature had been written back at the start of 2014, Interstellar still would have adorned the top spot on this list. That's just how giddily exciting this movie is. Working from an idea conceived by astrophysicist Kip Thorn, Nolan and brother Jonathan have crafted an almost Spielbergian tale of a widowed everyman (Matthew McConaughey) heading to space on a mission to save earth via interstellar travel. Or, for the less scholarly among us, they will be zipping around through wormholes in the galaxy. McConaughey is joined by a cast that include Nolan regulars Michael Caine and Anne Hathaway in addition to Jessica Chastain, Casey Affleck and a small role for Matt Damon. But what we all want to see the most €“ those space vistas and new worlds, all lensed in 35mm - is being fiendishly held back by Warner Bros. with the promo footage available only really homing in on the drama and bonds of love that McConaughey and his fellow crew members feel for those that they have left behind. It€™s a good move by the studio, as in this era of forum chatter, leaks and movies generally having the secrets sapped out of them in some way, Interstellar feels like the first film in years to be an actual event. We don€™t know exactly what to expect, only for it to be an exemplary end to our cinematic year. When€™s It Out? Interstellar will be released in cinemas worldwide throughout November. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ePbKGoIGAXY Like the list but think there was something on the horizon we should know about?
