25 Things That Will Change Everything In The Next Century

7. Europe Heats Up

The currently temperate climates of Europe gradually rise over the next century and countries such as France and the UK begin to see summer highs of at least 40°C.
The environment becomes much more akin to that of North Africa, with large parts of the continent facing droughts and dust bowling. Traditional agriculture in the region becomes challenging to the point of impossible as temperate arable land moves further north and into territories like Siberia.
Farming in Europe moves indoors to climate controlled environments.
6. Colonisation Of Antarctica
Antarctica has landmass (as opposed to the Arctic which is mostly made up of rapidly disappearing ice) and is currently one of the last true wildernesses on the planet. Whilst it is likely to become the new frontier much like the New World back in the 1500s, the northern hemisphere could become more connected as shipping routes open up in the previously frozen arctic north.
