There is little doubt that Harrison Ford's most recent brush with death is his most chilling. For starters, he was alone in the plane, piloting out on a solo mission. Ford is a frequent flyer who actually earned his pilot's license in his fifties, and owns several aircraft. So for him, this was no doubt routine. However, immediately after take-off, things became anything but: the plane began experiencing engine failure, and Ford radioed to Santa Monica Airport that he was turning back around. The plane, however, didn't co-operate, and Ford was forced to make an emergency landing on Penmar golf course in Venice, California, clipping a tree on the way down. Luckily, he survived, and was treated by doctors who happened to be on scene and had a first aid kit handy. Witnesses reported that Ford's face was covered in blood to the point that he was unrecognizable, and that while conscious, he was in obvious pain. Not surprising given he'd just been in a plane crash. Ford was taken by ambulance to hospital, but in the end he escaped with just broken bones and cuts, thankfully.
