4 Times Harrison Ford Cheated Death (And 4 Times He Was A Hero)

4. Harrison Ford Rescues A Boy Scout

Before you think it's all close calls for Harrison Ford, consider his heroism. Case in point: rescuing a boy scout. Now, if you're in the Boy Scouts, then you know the motto: Be Prepared. However, little is going to prepare you for being rescued by Indiana Jones himself. Yet that's exactly what happened to 13 year old Cody Clawson in 2001, who was rescued in the Yellowstone National Park back country by none other than Harrison Ford himself. The boy had strayed from a trail in the park and spent in night out in the rain. Ford, who volunteers to fly search and rescue missions, spotted Clawson about 10 miles from camp after about two hours of searching, and set down to pick him up. In a line you easily picture Ford saying, he told Clawson "Boy, you sure must have earned a merit badge for this one."
