You're surrounded by friends, dancing the night away to good music and the drink in your hand is taking away your stress from the previous week. Although you don't want the night to end, you can't wait to see the state of your friends in the morning and of course, gossip over the events of the night before in the most intimate of detail. Studio 54 was a nightclub that opened in New York in 1977 and there was no stigma inside this club. People were able to explore their sexuality, dance to new and exciting music as well as interact with people from different backgrounds and social classes. People would line up outside just in the hopes of gaining entry and not everyone did, which is why the corridor leading into the club was always so noisy because people were screaming with excitement at actually getting entry. It was also a place that celebrities such as Andy Warhol, Calvin Klein and Elizabeth Taylor liked to frequent. But although there was such a mix of different people, the atmosphere was relaxed and everyone became a part of one big family. The place had such a high energy and everyone was happy to be there because anything went. A number of celebrities had parties at Studio 54; Bianca Jagger made her entrance to the club on a white horse and during a New Year's Eve Party, the owners poured four tons of glitter onto their guests to help them celebrate Hogmanay. It seems like a huge pity that the place got shut down...
