His costume was that of a diamond encrusted Louis XIV and it was so large that he had to pay for separate transport for his outfit. It also meant that he had to have a separate car to get to the various venues because his wig was so big that it wouldn't fit into any other vehicle. His seat in this car was made of velvet and gold, so there are some pros and cons to his situation. The party itself took him around six months to plan as it was a four day event with guests being flown in from across the world. The hosts treated their guests to a lavish dinner in LA, were driven to Las Vegas to watch Elton perform at Caesars Palace, all the while staying at the Four Seasons Hotel. Elton also booked Cher and Lady Gaga to perform during the festivities. Overall, the party cost John around £1.5million and pretty much gave the middle finger to all other parties that were never as good as this one.
