5 Reasons Universal's A Celebration Of Harry Potter 2018 Was Awesome

The Talent Panels are usually one of the highlights of the Celebration. On this year's panel there were some familiar faces and also first timers to the festival. One star in particular stole the spotlight at the 2018 event, Stanislav Yanevski.

Admittedly when the actor who plays Bulgarian bon-bon Vicktor Krum was announced for the event my initial thought was he's a nice addition but having been in only one movie he wouldn't be bringing much to the panels, turns out I was completely wrong.

Yanevski was a hit at the Celebration right from the media Q&A panel on Friday and continued to curate fans throughout the whole weekend. He was funny, gracious and seemed to be having a great time at the event. He joked about accidentally trying to sneak a Minion onto roller coasters, encouraged sing-a-longs and his love for his many pets. Often the crowd were often in stitches at his honest yet humorous answers to their questions.

Even though Yanevski was the surprise hit of the panels, the other stars were on top form. James and Oliver Phelps also provided lots of humour to the Q&As. They reminisced about their times playing pranks on nearby builders and that they only found out which one would be playing which Weasley twin at the first script read through. The brothers are regulars at the event and you can guarantee that it's going to be a fun panel when they attend.

Bonnie Wright was also a returning face to the event this year. The actress, turned director, was a consummate professional as usual and discussed the community that Harry Potter has created and the missing tango scene that Ginny had with Neville. She also enlisted her fellow cast members to help her take a video of the crowd shouting "Lumos", the name of the worldwide charity started by J.K. Rowling to end to the institutionalisation of children.

Natalia Tena was a first timer at the event and was a great panelist to have. She talked about being sent baby clothes, changing her hair for the role of Tonks and she certainly didn't shy away from difficult topics. She was the panelist I was most interested to hear from and with her mixture of humour and honesty she certainly didn't disappoint. Fingers crossed she returns to another Celebration of Harry Potter.
