The 5 Types Of People Completely Ruining Your Facebook Newsfeed

1. The Grammar Police

Grammar Police We're in custody. What's the crime? Bad spelling and grammar. I guess you might tell me that's not a crime. Oh, but it is on Facebook. You can't go through a comments section on any post without seeing one person calling somebody out for the misspelling of a word, and quite frankly it's growing very tiresome. It's usually something done in an argument to hide the fact the other person has run out of things to debate about, so they choose to critique the other's spelling or grammar. It's ridiculous and pointless, as spelling and grammatical errors happen very frequently online. Also it leaves the person who critiqued very open to criticism as they have to make sure they don't make any errors themselves, lest be found out a hypocrite. If a person corrects the other's spelling it shows they can understand what was meant to be said in the first place, so it's not really for anyone's benefit. Rather, it's just a pathetic tool of belittlement. The biggest issue with the annoying grammar police is how more often than not the initial point being made has now become subsidiary, as a second argument has emerged solely about spelling and grammar. Such a debate wastes everyone's time, and we're forced to watch the drivel coming up on our newsfeed as a result. So that's what I think. What do you think? Feel free to comment!
