6 Reasons To Believe We Are Actually Living In A Computer Simulation
1. There Are More Simulated Worlds Than Non-Simulated Ones
An Oxford philosopher by the name of Nick Bostrom floated the idea that technologically advanced societies would have the ability to create "many, many simulations." If true, this means there could be thousands, if not millions, of simulated worlds compared to just one base reality. This would make sense considering what we've seen in our own universe.
Here on Earth, we have already created countless simulations that include everything from business training modules to video games.
If there is indeed a civilization that's far more advanced than our own, then it's certainly possible that we're just some crazy extraterrestrials' version of The Sims. Moreover, it stands to reason that ours isn't the only virtual reality these crafty beings have created.
Given that there are so many false realities out there, what makes human beings so sure we are living in the real world?
In the end, we could all just be a group of arrogant simulations that mistakenly believes the universe, quite literally, revolves around us.
