5. Mockingbirds Mimicked Songs In The White House (Grover Cleveland)

As their name suggests, mockingbirds mimic the singing of other species of flying birds, as well as the sounds of insects and amphibians - something they even did while in the grounds of the White House. Grover Cleveland, the 22nd and 24th President (1885-1889 and 1893-1897), kept the annoying birds while in office - and they were known to sit just outside the front gates and tweet away in a mimicking tone, annoying all guests to the White House. Thomas Jefferson also owned a mockingbird - who he trained to eat food right out of his own mouth, for some obscure reason.
