8. Take A Ride On Splash Mountain

If you are in the Magic Kingdom and need to cool off, how about taking a trip on Splash Mountain.

This log flume ride takes you on a journey through the bayou. Based on characters which featured in the controversial movie Song of the South, Splash Mountain follows Br'er Rabbit as he attempts to escape the clutches of Br'er Fox and Br'er Bear.

After chasing the rabbit through the Briar Patch to Chick-a-Pin Hill, a 5 story drop into the water below awaits. You will get wet when you ride this attraction, so be prepared. There's even a spot outside the ride where you can watch the logs plummet and every third or fourth log ride will send water spraying out your way.

Although you may not want to ride it when the weather is a bit chilly, Splash Mountain is the perfect attraction to cool off when the heat gets too much.
